Horizon Zero Dawn The Face of Extinction GAMEPLAY PART-21[NO COMMENTERY] The Face of Extinction The mission The Face of Extinction is one of the many Main Quests found in Horizon: Zero Dawn. This is the final main mission in the game. After waking up and seeing the incoming machines, you will gain control of Aloy. The first thing you will have to do is fight a boss, Helis. Surprisingly, this isn't as tough as you might expect. The area will be full of Blaze containers, so simply run around and blow up the canisters when he is near them. It should only take a couple for him to go down. Of course, he won't be alone so make sure to pick off the other enemies if they become too much of a hassle. The next part of the mission has you defending against huge waves of machines. You'll be using the grenade launcher to do so, which will make things much easier. The machines come from the right or left and there are two grenade launches you can use, on the right or left of the path. Make sure to switch sides if you need to, as the grenade launchers don't have great range. This section is pretty straight forward. Simply charge the launcher, and dump a bunch of grenades on the enemies. The further away they are, the more you will need to arc the shot. There will be a couple waves, then about a 30 second pause. After that more waves will start coming with bigger machines. Nothing else will change, so keep dropping grenades until everything is dead and the cutscene begins. FINAL BOSS The final fight is against a strong Deathbringer, and several corrupted machines. First, the Deathbringer. You've fought powerful machines before, so you know the routine. Start by using Tear damage to break off all his guns. The four primary targets are the hanging machine guns and the two shoulder mounted cannons. When he takes aim at you, make sure to run behind some cover, and poke out when the attacks pause. Once you've broken those off, it will begin to get harder as hitting his weak points becomes more difficult. To solve this problem, start blasting the boss with Fire. This will cause him to overheat which exposes several weak points. This will be the easiest way to finish the battle, by burning him until his weak points appear, then blasting them with high damage arrows. Of course, as the battle goes on, more machines appear. Anytime additional enemies appear, focus on them first. Often times the Deathbringer will ignore you, as it gets distracted by your allies, giving you time to fight the new enemies.
