That's probably different from a lot of other expats in Thailand. Your in laws are prosperous mechants. all that makes a difference in status conscious Thailand. There are so many versions of Thai Visas ... Married, Retiree, living in a village ... on & on ...

WE'VE HAD A HARD FREZZE THAT LASTED OVER THE LAST WEEK AND A HALF. WATER PIPES FROZE 4 DAYS AGO AND I HAD A SMALL POUND IN THE FRONT YARD.
